Back to Square 1
Well, it’s not looking too good, boys. My home state is Louisiana just re-introduced its indoor mask mandate. We became the 1st state in the Union to fully re-introduce the state mask mandate—for both unvaccinated and vaccinated individuals—during the recent Delta Variant Surge.
However, misery loves company. Many corporations and state governments are now mandating employees to take the COVID-19 vaccine. Same with scores of American universities.
With our rights and liberties being whisked away AGAIN, I wanted to remind everyone that our ruling class are a bunch of liars. Governors and public health officials have constantly backtracked and “flip-flopped” when it has come to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Unfortunately, the dishonest legacy media generally do not call our ruling class for all their inanity. That’s where this blog comes in. I hope that that this blog can play a small role in reviving people’s memories and knowledge about the reality of the COVID-19 pandemic.
A “Best Hits” of the COVID-19 Memory Hole
Today, I’m just going to list out some of the best examples of politicians and “experts” contradicting themselves, flouting their COVID-19 rules, or just being plain hypocrites.
Without further ado, let’s begin.
1. Nancy Pelosi in Chinatown
In late February 2020, Congresswoman (& Speaker of the US House) Nancy Pelosi visited San Francisco’s Chinatown district to quell fears about the COVID-19 virus.
Several High-Ranking Democrats claimed that President Trump was “racist” at the time for barring people from Wuhan from travelling to the United States. That was definitely was a big boo-boo there. However, people like Nancy Pelosi rarely get
2. Dr. Fauci: On 60 Minutes
In March 2020, Dr. Anthony Fauci appeared on the TV show 60 Minutes. Here are just a few quotes from Dr. Fauci’s interview:
–“Right now in the US people should not be walking around with masks”
-“When you’re in the middle of an outbreak, wearing a mask might make people “feel” a little bit better, and it might even block a droplet but it’s NOT PROVIDING THE PERFECT PROTECTION THAT PEOPLE THINK THAT IT IS. And often there are unintended consequences (because) people keep fiddling with the mask and they keep touching their face…”
Remember that Dr. Fauci later advised people to wear multiple masks to “protect” people from the COVID-19 virus.
3. Kamala Harris: Publicly Undermining the COVID-19 Vaccine
During a Vice Presidential Debate with Mike Pence in October 2020, Kamala Harris stated that “.. if Donald Trump tells us that we should take it [the COVID-19 vaccine]. I’m not taking it.”
Joe Biden and Kamala Harris both publicly undermined the development of the COVID-19 vaccine throughout the 2020 Presidential campaign.
Funny enough, they both took the vaccine and are now calling everyone else to take it. Now, which is it going to be, Joe?
4. Gavin Newsom visits the French Laundry
California Governor Gavin Newsom came under hot fire in November 2020.
The state of California experienced some of the strictest lockdowns in the whole nation. My friends in college told me about how awful life was in California: no sit-down restaurants, closed gyms, and online-only Church services were the norm for pretty much of all of 2020—even as much of the rest of the country opened up from the COVID-19 lockdowns,
Enter Gavin Newsome and the French Laundry.
Governor Newsom encouraged California residents to not visit their loved during the Thanksgiving holidays in November 2020. Unsurprisingly, his advice need not apply to himself.
Reporters caught Gavin Newsome visiting a ritzy California restaurant called the French Laundry for a birthday party. No masks and no social distancing. Even better, the birthday party for a political lobbyist who was also a friend of Newsom.
The material just writes itself, folks.
5. Governor Whitmer’s Visit to Florida
In April 2021, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer visited her elderly father in Florida.
Why is that a big deal? Well, Governor Whitmer instituted some of the strictest lockdowns in the country. What’s more, she told her fellow Michiganders to not travel during Spring Break 2021 to stop the spread of COVID-19. Fortunately for her, her rules need need apply to herself.
Just another case of a tyrannical governor not following their own rules. Rules for thee and not for me.
6. The George Floyd Protests didn’t “spread the virus”
We all remember that the George Floyd protests rocked the nation in the summer of 2020.
Thousands upon thousands of people crowded together to “peacefully protest” against institutional racism and police brutality in cities all over the country.
The standard line from the legacy media was that “protests didn’t spread the virus!” I can’t tell you how many news articles were gaslighting the American populace about the George Floyd protests. I guess protesting racism can’t cause the spread a viral disease. It’s a noble cause, and the good ol’ COVID-19 virus wouldn’t want to infect people fighting systemic racism, right?
Yeah, no. Even St. Fauci himself commented that the Floyd protests could spread the virus during a June 2020 radio interview. Yet when Rep. Jim Jordan pushed Fauci on the issue during a Congressional hearing in late July 2020, Fauci wouldn’t say that the government should limit mass protests to stop the spread of COVID-19.
7. Dr. Fauci & the Media Dismissed the Lab-origins of the COVID-19 Virus
Back in May 2020, President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that the COVID-19 virus originated from a Chinese lab: the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
Of course, Dr. Fauci and the rest of the legacy media claimed that the virus came from nature. They dismissed the lab-leak theory as a Q-anon conspiracy theory.
After social media companies censored the “lab-leak theory”, there’s mounting evidence that the virus came from the Wuhan Institute of Virology. The Wall Street Journal reported that the US State Department found the lab-leak theory for COVID-19 to be “plausible”. Yep, the US government straight-up has said that the virus may have come from the Wuhan lab. In the past week, the House Foreign Affairs Committee released a new report which concluded that the COVID-19 probably came from the Wuhan lab.
I will call myself out here because I bought the lie that the COVID-19 virus came from Chinese wet-markets.
Regardless, the people in charge—our politicians and medical “experts”—have not been forthright with the American people. It’s time to show some skepticism to what our “leaders” are telling us about the COVID-19 pandemic.
