If not now, when?
As you may now know, Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards has recently re-implemented a statewide indoor mask mandate.
At this point, I am done with COVID-19 lockdowns, mask mandate, and forced vaccinations. WE THE PEOPLE have lost our personal autonomy. No longer can Louisiana citizens make informed decisions for ourselves and our families. No, our politicians and health “experts” know what’s best for us. They get to call the shots for our lives.
It’s time to stand up for our individual rights.
Just remember, the GOP isn’t going to solve our problems. The LA GOP won’t oppose Governor Edward’s mask mandate. Our state legislature didn’t pass any laws limiting Governor Edward’s power in the last legislative session. So, we shouldn’t place our hope in our state’s Republican party. Similarly, “conservative” political commentators aren’t going to fix what’s going on either.
Here we are. I don’t know what else to do at this point. Consequently, I decided to create a petition. The purpose of my petition is to demand that Governor Edwards repeal his indoor mask mandate.
I know that there’s a good chance that my petition won’t change Governor Edward’s mind. Nevertheless, I would rather be the “man in the arena”–who failed in doing something–than doing nothing at all.
So, I ask that you–my loyal reader–sign my petition. We need to show Governor Edwards that we will not sit idly by anymore and do whatever he tells us to do. If we get to over 50 signatures, then I will make sure to send this petition to his office.

The Petition
My fellow Louisianans,
Governor John Bel Edwards decided to reintroduce a state-wide indoor mask mandate. We are currently the only state in America that has reinstated another mask mandate. Essentially, this mandate has outsourced our personal decision-making. We can no longer choose how to conduct our lives during the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, our governor believes he can make decisions for us without our consent.
Governor Edwards has overstepped his executive authority by forcing the citizens of our state to wear masks–regardless of their vaccination status. HIs overbearing mandate defies the bulk of research about cloth masks and indoor mask mandates. There is little evidence that indoor mask mandates have slowed the spread of COVID-19. Furthermore, cloth masks are not proven to reduce the transmission of the COVID-19 virus.
We cannot allow our state to continue suffering economically, emotionally, and spiritually from Governor Edward’s decision-making. The time has come to reassert our rights peacefully in the wake of the Governor’s mandate.
We the people live in one nation under God—not the government! The government works for us—not the other way around. Our state has forgotten the American values of individual rights, liberty, and limited government in the last year-and-a-half. Governor Edward’s mask mandate flies in opposition to our nation’s founding principles.
